Loanhead is gearing up for a week of fun
THERE will be a loud, colourful start to Loanhead's gala celebrations when the annual carnival parade takes place tomorrow (Friday June 18).
The extravaganza will start at 6.30pm with the judging of the fancy dress at the foot of Kennington Avenue.
The parade of floats, decorated vehicles, walking groups and seven bands will set off at 7.30pm.
The sporting prowess of Loanhead residents will be tested during the gala week, kicking off with the adult five-a-side football competition in Burghlee Park on Saturday at 1pm.
