Loanhead pupils tidy pond area
SPRING snow failed to deter Loanhead primary pupils from tackling loathsome litter at a local beauty spot.
P7 youngsters from Paradykes Primary were met with snow on the Pentland Hills on the May morning they were due to visit Straiton Pond Local Nature Reserve.
The Midlothian Ranger Service had been expecting a call from the school to cancel the joint litter pick at the pond due to the weather.
But the children were clearly not going to be put off by the spring cold.
