Loanhead statue's pride of place

SCULPTOR Alan Herriot is delighted with his latest artwork – now taking pride of place in Loanhead town centre.

The Howgate artist has been hard at work replacing his original man and horse statue with a new composition featuring a larger horse, man and young boy.

Mr Herriot had told the Advertiser he was a "lot happier" with his new piece, which has been sited on a newly-raised plinth near the town centre traffic lights.
