1963

DALKEITH: Lothian and Peebles Constabulary visited the Casino Club in Duke Street around midnight on Saturday. It was stated that about 20 policemen were involved in what was described as a “raid”. More than 50 members of the club had their names and addresses taken.

1988

DALKEITH: The Dalkeith branch of the Musselburgh and Fisherrow Co-operative Society is closing down on Saturday with the loss of ten jobs.

LOANHEAD: The dream of turning an area of open land in Loanhead into a focal point for the community could become a reality.
