MIDLOTHIAN: There has been a considerable improvement in the living conditions generally in Midlothian during the past 10 years. The proportions of deaths at younger ages had decreased greatly.

1989

DALKEITH: Dalkeith residents are up in arms over plans to demolish part of the town’s historic Corn Exchange. As revealed in last week’s Advertiser, Castle Rock Housing Association is seeking planning permission to demolish part of the High Street building and convert it into 24 homes.

1999

MIDLOTHIAN: Handicabs (Lothian) has taken possession of a new minibus for its service which provides transport for disabled people and people with mobility restrictions in Midlothian.
