1964

BONNYRIGG: Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Town Council has dropped the proposal to have a Citizens Advice Bureau in the burgh after being told that Midlothian County Council has set up bureaux in each of the District Council offices.

1989

MIDLOTHIAN: Plans for Midlothian’s economic revival following the closure of Bilston Glen and Monktonhall collieries have met a “low key” response from the Government, district councillors were told last week.

1999

POLTON: A decision over the future of Springfield Mill will be reached soon, following a recent feasibility study. The site was allocated for housing but this was opposed by local residents.
