GOREBRIDGE: A Gorebridge man - 25 year old Lt John Murray - is to lead a 16 man expedition which will follow in the footsteps of the famous Polar explorer, Captain Scott.

LOANHEAD: Hundreds of Loanhead people have come out in favour of Asda’s planned superstore at New Pentland and at a public meeting they cried down shopkeepers’ views against the store.

1990

COUSLAND: Villagers said farewell this week to their local postie Donnie Wright, who for the past 25 years has been providing villagers with a truly-old fashioned postal service.
