BONNYRIGG: The BBC has apologised unreservedly following criticism of a statement by a Bonnyrigg policeman on BBC television that there were no youth club facilities in the joint burgh. The statement caused angry repercussions. On Sunday evening a full apology was broadcast on BBC television.
DALKEITH: Ninety-eight miners will be transferred from Dalkeith Colliery to nearby Monktonhall next week due to a decline in recent geological improvements.
PENICUIK: The future of Edinburgh Crystal has been secured, thanks to interest from a major investments firm, Caledonian Investments plc, late last week. After five months in the hands of the receiver, the 225 strong workforce can now look forward to the opportunities in the future.
