DALKEITH: The Citizen’s Advice Bureau, to be situated in the old Dalkeith council chambers , will open in the summer of this year.

1991

MILLERHILL: Midlothian is one of the areas shortlisted to provide stadium space for a Premier League football club. The Millerhill site, it was revealed, is one of a few sites recommended by the Football Stadium Working Group, which is trying to find the best possible site for Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Hibs.

2006

MIDLOTHIAN: Midlothian councillors will decide today whether to agree to implement a 2.9 per cent rise in council tax. Cabinet members were given three options by the finance director – 3.9, 3.4 and 2.9 per cent – and council leader Adam Montgomery recommended members approve the lowest figure.
