PENICUIK: Penicuik Town Council has estimated its housing needs for the next five years will be 452 houses, in a letter to the Scottish Development Department.
MILLERHILL: Midlothian planning committee chairman Jim Murray has slammed Edinburgh District Council for being blinkered on the issue of the proposed football stadium at Millerhill, after it turned down the proposals from Hearts because they would infringe the Green Belt.
MIDLOTHIAN: The green light has been officially given for the £172 million new schools project in Midlothian. The 30-year Public Private Partnership contract to design, build, finance and maintain eight primary schools has been signed by Skanska and the PFI Infrastructure Company Consortium.
