Beer enthusiasts have the chance to win a brewery master class at an upcoming 'festiv-ale' in Lasswade.
The Melville Inn is hosting the Vintage Inns Festival of Up and Coming Ales until Sunday, February 28.
Inspiring
Drinkers can try a different ale each week, while dreaming up their own perfect ale, giving it a suitably inspiring name and providing tasting notes.
Those conjuring up the best six new ale ideas nationwide will experience a day out at one of the six award winning independent breweries of their choice, where they will learn all the tricks of the trade and try their hand at brewing a cask real ale.
