Local business people came face to face with innovations galore at their latest networking event.
On their visit to the Midlothian Innovation Centre at Pentlandfield, Roslin, Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce members viewed exhibition stands showcasing companies based there, including companies specialising in managed IT services, handmade chocolates, software and photography.

The event, the latest in the chamber's series of free 'gatherings' aimed at helping members network and fight the recession, was hosted by centre manager Archie Patterson, who won an award last year as one of the region's "business heroes".

Over refreshments, supplied by Edinburgh outside caterer Deli licious, business people were able to catch up on latest happenings and discuss more trading with each other.

"It was the first of several events which will feature different companies based at the centre and was the perfect opportunity for members to broaden their networks and make new connections," said chamber manager Laura Socha.
