A POLICE officer from Gorebridge is to run 100 miles to raise cash for a local charity.

PC Donald Kettrick, who is based at Bonnyrigg police station, will attempt to run, non stop, 100 miles along the Union and Forth Canals from Wester Hailes in Edinburgh to Maryhill in Glasgow and back again in aid of the Mark Wright Project later this month.

Support driver, Mark Rankin, will also be running for the dementia ward of Herdmanflat Hospital and other friends are going to cycle as well for the British Heart Foundation.

Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/hotfuzz100
