MIDLOTHIAN MP David Hamilton has met with the chairman of Danderhall and District Community Council to discuss safety fears at the Sheriffhall roundabout.
Sam Campbell said the community council believes some road markings between Danderhall, the roundabout and Dalkeith are confusing to motorists.

A site meeting was held at the junction between Mr Campbell, traffic police and representatives from BEAR Scotland who are to look into the situation further.

Are the road markings driving you round the bend? Let us know your experiences via this website.

The pedestrian/cycle pathways around the periphery of this roundabout seem to have been abandoned and are clearly unfinished; is the work to be completed on this or has this just been an oversight; I am a frequent user on bicycle and these pathways have just been made more hazardous; has a risk assessment been done to let this be used by the general public

The sad fact is that Midlothian Council were given around £85,000 by the Scottish government around 4-5 years ago to build a bridge over the Bypass at Sheriffhall to facilitate pedestrians and cyclists - they spent it on car parking.
