CHILDREN at Woodburn Playgroup and Nursery are to receive new fitness equipment.
The class is being given the quality, brightly coloured gear free of charge through holiday firm Haven's 'Fun and Fitness' scheme, which aims to make exercise fun and attractive for under-fives.

"We are planning a sports day in June with the new equipment," playgroup manager Denise Smith said.

Games

"We are self-funded, and we didn't have the necessary equipment needed before the scheme."

The apparatus will be used for a range of individual and team games and activities, with hoops, balls, cones and many other items that will help them meet curriculum requirements for sport and exercise.

Woodburn Playgroup and Nursery recently reached its target and will be receiving a space hopper pack.
