A NEW campaign has been launched to promote Midlothian as first choice for a ‘staycation’.
VisitScotland, in partnership with Midlothian Council, is promoting the county to UK holidaymakers through the Explore Scotland initiative. Around 50,000 households will be targeted in an extensive direct mail campaign to highlight inspiring elements of the local area.
The promotion will mention the scenery of Roslin Glen and the Pentland Hills, skiing at Midlothian Snowsports Centre and golfing at a number of locations.
Other attractions featured include the five-star National Mining Museum Scotland at Newtongrange and Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World at Lasswade.
