A Loanhead superstore is to go hi-tech in a bid to retrieve its abandoned trolleys.
Sainsbury’s Straiton has teamed up with Trolleywise, a national trolley retrieval service.
Trolleywise has produced a free smartphone app, which can be used to photograph abandoned trolleys and tag their location via GPS.
A team of drivers collects the rogue trolleys, preventing them from becoming an eyesore, and puts them back into service.
