Roslin artist Aine Divine has secured her Penicuik Turner Prize hat-trick – winning the award for the third time in eight years.
Aine (43), who received the trophy from Fife-based artist David Annan, said: “I am really pleased.”
The People’s Choice was won by Carol Johnston, originally from Penicuik, and presented by the town’s Citizen of the Year Iain ‘Mose’ Hutchison.
Aine’s entry was a portrait entitled “Graeme”. She said: “He’s a model I have painted a few times.
“He’s a former marathon runner. He is lovely, has got a beard and a very placid nature. It is melancholy looking.”
