Two local artists received top honours for their works during Penicuik Community Arts Association’s annual arts festival, Penfest.

The Penicuik Turner Prize was won by Jane Butler-Cole from Carlops, for her painting of Iris Spirit. The judging was carried out by watercolourist Darren Woodhead.

The People’s Choice was voted for by 121 people with votes being spread across the exhibits. The winner was Roslin artist Linda Sheridan with her portrait of her mother.
