Award for Rosewell apprentice

A CONSTRUCTION apprentice from Rosewell has beat off strong competition to win a national award.

Stewart Roy (20), was crowned winner of the Health and Safety category at this year’s National Construction College (NCC) Awards, which took place at Bircham Newton College, King’s Lynn. His award was presented by TV personality Tommy Walsh.

Speaking after his win, Stewart said: “Being nominated for an award was great – but to actually win one in my category was a real surprise. It’s a great reward for the work I’ve done and I’d like to thank the training staff at the NCC for the help they have given me and the other apprentices.”
