A number of bikes, frames and bike parts were found following a search at an address in Mavisbank, Loanhead.

Local enquiries have been able to identify several owners and some of the bikes and parts have been returned.

A 23-year-old man has since been charged with a number of related offences and a report submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson, local area commander for Midlothian, said: “We are delighted to return these bikes and bike parts to their owners and would encourage every cyclist to ensure they use good quality bike locks and keep a record of the bike serial number in a safe place.”
