If you love spring flowers and would like to raise cash to help people with disabilities, a charity walk in Dalkeith next month could prove just the ticket.
Canine Partners – a charity that assists people with disabilities to enjoy a greater independence and quality of life through the provision of specially-trained dogs – is organising its annual Bluebell Walk, which this year takes place on Saturday, April 28.
The walk will set off from Stable Yard at Dalkeith Country Estate at 11am. The walk is about one mile and is mostly flat, although there is a steep incline when entering the wood. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Organiser Dale Gormley said: “This is the first time Scotland has had its own spring flower walk for Canine Partners, and we are hoping as many people as possible will come along.”
There will also be refreshments, including a barbeque, and a a puppy class demonstration. For more information, visit www.caninepartners.org.uk
