COUNCILLORS have supported a Bonnyrigg haulage firm constrained by planning conditions.
Midlothian Council’s Local Review Body has decided to relax operating rules at the Dalhousie Business Park site of David Burns Haulage Ltd.
The award-winning company had asked the LRB to reconsider a limit on the number of HGVs that can operate from the site.
For road safety reasons, the council imposed a truck limit of seven, but councillors have now agreed that this can be increased to 10.
The firm argued that it needed greater flexibility in the movement of HGVs during breakdown or non-use periods.
