A Bonnyrigg man has proved he has a head for heights.
Gordon Rae successfully completed an abseil from the Forth Bridge in aid of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
He explained: “In September 2012, my father suffered a haemorrhagic stroke and spent the next few months in hospital. Then in 2015 he underwent major heart surgery , and another six weeks in hospital.
“The care my father received was second to none and I knew then that when the chance arose to give something back I would jump at it!”
Gordon has already raised more than £3270 and is only £223 shy of his £3500 target. Donations can be made by going to https://frboct16.everydayhero.com/uk/gordon-3
