GEARING up for this year’s Edinburgh Moonwalk, a Bonnyrigg mum reckons signing up for the 2010 event was one of the most important decisions of her life.
When Siobhan Moody, of Dobbies Road, began training for the marathon event two years ago, she discovered a new lease of life. The stay-at-home mum had lost “all enthusiasm for everything”, but that changed when she signed up and began training.
She explained: “It gave me a purpose to get up in the morning. I felt a lot fitter and it helped me to lose weight.”
Now, as she prepares to do it all over again on June 9, she is asking Advertiser readers to help her raise much-needed cash to help breast cancer charity Walk the Walk.
