Boot camp boost for Midlothian teens

TEENAGERS have been given the chance to learn important life skills at a Midlothian boot camp.

Lothian and Borders Police supported an army-led programme aimed at refocusing the lives of 22 boys from the Lothians, Borders and Edinburgh.

The five-day residential course took place last week at Castlelaw near Penicuik.

The participants, aged between 14 and 16, were nominated by their local police officer after demonstrating a willingness to take on the army-devised experience.
