A war of words erupted between SNP Provost Joe Wallace and Labour group leader Derek Milligan at last week’s full council meeting.
After hearing a revenue budget report for 2014/15 - 2016/17 the Labour leader questioned some of the figures, much to the annoyance of Councillor Wallace who angrily said: “You do this every time Councillor Milligan, you wait until the last minute then put your hand up.”
The Labour group leader replied: “I’m entitled to ask questions in here, I’m entitled to listen to debate.”
The provost added that the Labour group leader could have raised his concerns at the business steering group which Labour declines to use their two available places on.
