Three friends from Fala have been creating luxury tents that are good for much more than just camping.

William Todd (28), Margo Kanis (38) and Kev Berg (39) run Wendy’s Yurts, creating the luxury camping facility for an average price of £2,000, with the largest measuring 20 foot by 12 foot.

The yurts have been used as the setting for various things, including as a charity shop, with local folk band The Port Na Wack and the Woo recording an album in one.

William revealed another use: “Someone hired it out as a birthing space. Maggie was the first person to hold the baby! She had gone down to tie down the straps and suddenly the baby was born.”

Wendy’s Yurts also run workshops on how to build your own yurt. Check their Facebook page for details.
