Midlothian businesses are invited to a free breakfast event to find out more about how they can benefit from the Borders Railway.

The event, organised by Midlothian and East Lothian Chambers of Commerce, takes place at the National Mining Museum in Newtongrange, on May 19 from 8.30am to 11am.

Guest speaker and Midlothian Council chief executive, Kenneth Lawrie said: “This is an unprecedented opportunity for economic growth and inward investment and we want to make sure as many local firms as possible are more than ready to take advantage of it.

“The speakers will cover the ambitions of the Borders Rail blueprint, themes and main project areas, support available, examples of the types of opportunities that might arise and how businesses can take advantages of these opportunities.”
