Loanhead-based haggis manufacturer MacSween has been gearing up for its busiest time of the year.
Jo MacSween told the Advertiser: “It has been very, very busy. We have been doing our best to keep up with demand.”
Throughout January the Bilston Glen-based company has been touring the United Kingdom promoting its products at stores including Selfridges in London’s Oxford Street and Sainsbury’s Straiton.
New haggis products were also launched for the firm’s 60th anniversary recently.
2014 has also been named Year of the Haggis by the Robert Burns World Federation and the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders. Members include Aytoun Butchers in Dalkeith, Gorebridge, and Bonnyrigg, and Shaws Fine Meats in Lasswade.
