Life science firm Ingenza, based at the Roslin BioCentre, has been named Skills Development Scotland’s Youth Employer of the month for October. The company, which has 40 members of staff, employs four Modern Apprentices, who are all in permanent positions.

Ingenza had planned for them to become technicians but they now hold research assistant posts in their relevant departments.

Managing director Dr Ian Fotheringham said: “It is excellent to be recognised for the hard work and dedication our team has invested in these young scientists over the past five years.”
