A Midlothian-based business is looking to bring some Christmas cheer to local children’s charities this year.
The NWH Group is urging children’s charities to come forward and apply to its NWH in the Community funding scheme.
Managing director Mark Williams said: “It’s all too easy to forget during times of festive celebrations that there are so many children struggling to even find a roof over their heads and food on the table.
“We want to help change that, to give children the Christmas Day experience that no child should be deprived of, but we need the help of the community to locate and help these children, so for that reason I’ve made the decision to add this extra fund release specifically to better the lives of Children at Christmas.”
NWH in the Community provides the opportunity for local projects to apply for funding throughout the year. Even though the group has already given away three releases, this Christmas it wants to focus solely on supporting local children’s charities.
Applications must be made by Friday (December 2) and will then by considered by a voluntary committee. The funding money will be handed over on December 9.
