Dalkeith Singers recently held spring concerts at St Mary’s Church, Dalkeith, and the National Mining Museum Scotland in Newtongrange.
Capacity audiences enjoyed a variety of music conducted by director Norman Adam. The concerts featured a rendition of Pergolesi’s Magnificat and a selection from Mamma Mia.
Edinburgh University music student Gemma Connor completed the evening by playing the cello. Dalkeith Singers also raised money for charity. The recent concerts provided nearly £700 for L’Arche, which is aiming to build a fourth home in Edinburgh.
