The Secret (STV, 9pm)

This four-part drama is based on a best-selling book by veteran reporter Deric Henderson.

In 2010, deeply religious Belfast dentist Colin Howell told his church elders that he and his former lover, Sunday school teacher Hazel Stewart, had killed his wife Lesley and her husband Trevor Buchanan almost 20 years previously.

He was urged to inform the police, and eventually sentenced to life in prison.

Also in the show, Michael plays his favourite game, Celebrity Send To All, which sees him going through Dragons’ Den star Peter Jones’ mobile phone.
