Midlothian Voluntary Action (MVA) celebrates its 40th anniversary and 40 years of supporting community activism in Midlothian.

The group, established in 1974, is holding its annual general meeting at the National Mining Museum Scotland, Newtongrange, on Wednesday, November 26 between 2pm and 4pm.

Voluntary organisations, community groups, and members of the public are invited to attend.

The event will include the launch of MVA’s Community Heritage artwork and leaflets resulting from its research on community activism. The artwork was made by local volunteers from community groups working with the artist, Julia Barton.

Booking is essential. Contact MVA to book a place on 0131 663 9471 or email info@mvacvs.org.uk
