Council helping people get online

Midlothian Council has made a new commitment to boost efforts to help residents and staff take advantage of new technology.

Hard on the heels of £500,000 council investment in initiatives to bring superfast broadband to Midlothian, a new partnership with the Scottish Government has been agreed to give residents and employees the skills to safely get online.

By becoming a signatory to the Digital Participation Charter, Midlothian has promised to continue its efforts to promote digital inclusion and now staff from the council will work with voluntary organisations within and outwith Midlothian and others to spread the knowledge.
