Police blitz Midlothian as part of Domestic abuse initiative

Police in Midlothian have carried out two days of action as part of an ongoing anti-domestic violence initiative.

Officers visited a number of addresses across the area in order to enforce bail conditions relating to domestic abuse. One visit resulted in a 21-year-old man being arrested and charged for breaching his probation order.

The initiative is in partnership with White Ribbon Scotland, the anti-domestic violence charity. E Division officers distributed posters and postcards with an anti-domestic violence message to pubs, clubs and community buildings across Midlothian.
