Jewellery and other items were stolen when a house in Fountain Place, Loanhead, was broken into on June 5.

Police are seeking two females in connection with the theft of sports clothing worth £400 from the Sports Direct store in Straiton Business Park at around 6pm on June 6. The first is described as having brown and blond hair. She was wearing black trousers, a grey sweatshirt, a black and white scarf and was carrying a silver bag. The second is said to be between 30-40, 5 foot 8 inches, of slim build and with long, blond hair. She was wearing black trousers and a blue and pink top.

A 51-year-old man has been charged in connection with alleged shoplifting at ASDA, New Pentland, Loanhead, on June 8.

A garden strimmer was stolen from a shed at Moorfoot View, Bilston, between May 28 and June 9.

A black BMW car was scratched and damaged while it was parked at Meggat Place, Penicuik, between June 6-7. The cost of the repair is estimated at £600.

Electrical items were stolen during a theft at the B&M store in Kentigern Mall, Penicuik, on June 9.

Community beat officers will be setting up a mobile police station in three locations on June 22. They will be in Main Street, Pathhead (10-11am), Main Street, Fala (11.30-noon) and Hadfast Road, Cousland (1-1.30pm).
