A MIDLOTHIAN businessman has criticised a bank’s decision to scale back improvements to its Dalkeith office.

Gordon Young, from Eskbank, has hit out at Santander for pulling plans to create a new frontage for its High Street branch as a part of the town’s regeneration project.

While the bank is prepared to pay a major share of an £80,884 building upgrade, it has decided against restoration of its facade.
