Celebrating its centenary year, Dalkeith High School is planning a number of community events to mark what is a significant milestone.

First on the list is a Burns Supper and ceilidh, which will run from 7-11pm on Friday, February 21 in the Assembly Hall. Tickets include a three-course meal and live music.

Also during February, as part of Love your Library Week, ex-pupils will be encouraged to submit old photographs, school books and memorabilia.

On March 26, the entire school will congregate for a centenary photograph, and then on April 14 local historians and ex-pupils Alan Mason and David Smith will release their “100 Years of Dalkeith High School” book.
