“An ideal venue for a good quality meal” is how Scotland’s food and drink authority has described Dalkeith’s award-winning Indian restaurant Itihaas.

Re-confirming Itihaas’ inclusion in its quality assurance scheme, an EatScotland inspector praised the food for being “well prepared from fresh ingredients” and its “unusual flavour combinations”.

The report said credit was due to the Eskbank Road restaurant for having house-prepared Indian desserts on the menu and he was impressed to see director Matin Khan mingling with customers in the restaurant.
