At the sprightly age of 79, carer Jessie Anderson relishes her role of looking after pensioners who are often much younger than herself.
The Dalkeith resident, who works for the Sheriffhall-based domiciliary care specialist Bright Care, is proof that age is no barrier to helping others maintain an independent lifestyle as they enter their twilight years.
The former school meals supervisor and housekeeper in charge of the Abbeyfield Home in Dalkeith, has a large number of Edinburgh clients who look forward to her regular visits.
