Damhead group rises from ashes

Damhead and District Community Council is to rise from the ashes.

The organisation was dissolved in January because of a catch 22 situation, which arose after the resignation of one of its members.

The group found itself unable to hold any further meetings – or carry out community council business, including taking on new members – because it did not have the minimum number of community councillors required by the constitution it had inherited.
