David Hamilton’s Westminster comment

On Sunday, June 3, my wife and I attended the Diamond Jubilee Pageant, and we had a first-class view of the boats from the terrace at the House of Commons.

It was a sight that will never be seen in our lifetime again, and even with the rain, we thought it a spectacle worth seeing.

The following evening, an incredible concert took place outside the Palace. You don’t need to be a royalist to be impressed by the phenomenal turnout from all over the world.

I was disappointed last week that I was not able to be in Midlothian when the Olympic Torch passed through our county.
