Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has contributed to the festive cheer that will be enjoyed by the local community in Bonnyrigg this year with a £2,000 donation towards the annual Christmas lights display which lights-up the Midlothian town.

The annual Christmas lights event took place on Saturday at the end of a fun-packed day for the whole community.

Pauline Mills, Land and Planning Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to be able to show our support for such a lovely event for the community that encourages people from across Bonnyrigg to come together to celebrate the start of the festive season.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.”

Councillor Derek Milligan added: “Having Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s kind support and generosity has gone some way to ensuring that Bonnyrigg will once again enjoy a bright and festive event for the enjoyment of all.”

Louie Milliken, chairman of the Bonnyrigg Community Events Committee, said: “The Events Committee relies on fundraising and sponsorship to run all its events, and the support from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is a great boost for this hugely popular community day.”
