A RANDOM encounter on a bus provided the spark which led Diamond Wedding couple Oliver and Jean Chisholme to the alter on March 28, 1952.

Borderer Oliver (83) was carrying out his National Service at Dreghorn Barracks when he climbed aboard the Hawick-bound coach and laid eyes on Jean (80), from Galashiels.
