Police are appealing for information following the theft of a 13 week old puppy from a kennel in Ford, Pathhead.

The theft occurred at Cranstoun Kennels overnight between Sunday, June 7, and Monday, June 8. A six-year-old grey coloured male Lurcher and an eight-month-old tan coloured male Jack Russell puppy were stolen as part of a break-in.

The Lurcher has since been recovered safe and well, however police are still trying to trace the Jack Russell puppy, who answers to the name of Jack.

Jack’s owners are currently on holiday and are eager to see him returned home safe.

Police Sergeant Kenneth Eccles said: “This is a very upsetting incident and we are eager to see Jack returned home as soon as possible.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious last night, or who recognises the description of Jack, is asked to contact police immediately.
