Midlothian schools top of class – education chief

Young Midlothian scholars have been credited for their part in contributing a “very productive” school year.

Midlothian Council’s cabinet member for education Peter Boyes thanked pupils, parents, staff and the community for playing their part, adding they could be ‘proud’ of what they had achieved.

The local authority said all schools made ‘significant progress’ in implementing Curriculum for Excellence and there were increases in educational attainment by the end of S6.
