A doting dad has used a birthday gift he made for his daughter to carve himself a new business venture.

Grant Henderson crafted a bespoke cabinet and filled it with vintage drinks for daughter Chloe to enjoy on her significant birthdays. Each was bottled in the year she was born.

Grant, of Park Road, Eskbank, spent two months designing and carving the cabinet out of walnut.

He filled it with a dozen bottles for her 18th, 21st, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 75th, 80th, 90th and 100th birthday.

The idea for the project – fittingly labelled ‘Chloe’s Cabinet’ – was hatched by Grant during a whisky tour.

With Chloe’s 18th approaching, he wanted to give her something that would be with her all her life.
