Counterfeit designer clothing worth more than £25,000 seized in Midlothian is to be sent to some of the poorest regions of Africa and Belarus.
The clothing and footwear – including fakes bearing household name brands such as Adidas, Nike, G-Star, Ugg and Suzuki – will be handed to charities, which will then ship them out.
Midlothian Trading Standards officers seized the goods in a visit to a house in Bonnyrigg and in a visit to a previous market trader in the town.
